Privacy Policy

CcsSync is a desktop application that reads a flight schedule from United's CCS+ system and writes it into a calendar you choose - Outlook (via Microsoft) or Google Calendar. This page explains what data that requires, where it goes, and what CcsSync does not do with it.

What CcsSync accesses, and why

Your CCS+ sync password. The password you set in United's CCS+ site under Schedule Settings → Calendar syncing. It is stored encrypted on your own PC and is sent only to United's own CCS+ system, to download your schedule. It is never sent to CcsSync's developer or to any server other than United's.
Calendar write access. If you connect Outlook, CcsSync asks Microsoft for permission to create, update, and delete events in the calendar you pick, through Microsoft's own sign-in and Graph API - this works with either a personal Microsoft account or a Microsoft 365 work/school account. If you connect Google Calendar, the same applies through Google's own sign-in and Calendar API. In both cases the sign-in and consent happen with Microsoft or Google directly - CcsSync never sees or stores your Microsoft or Google password.
A license key. If you activate a subscription, the key you enter is sent to Lemon Squeezy, the service that handles billing and license activation for CcsSync, to confirm it's valid for this PC. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy covers what they do with billing information.

What CcsSync does not do

It does not run any server of its own that your schedule or calendar data passes through. CcsSync runs on your own PC: it downloads your schedule directly from United to your PC, then writes it directly from your PC to Microsoft or Google's calendar. United never talks to Microsoft or Google, and nothing in between ever holds a copy - your PC is the only place the two sides of that sync ever meet.
It does not contain advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking of any kind.
It does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, for any purpose.
Its log file and local records (including the flight history it keeps so you have a record of trips even after United stops publishing them) stay on your own PC. Nothing is uploaded automatically. If you ever contact support, sending a copy of the log is something you choose to do, not something that happens on its own.

Where your data lives

Everything CcsSync stores - your encrypted CCS+ password, your settings, your synced trip history, and its log - lives in a folder under your own Windows user profile (%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCSSync). Nothing leaves your PC except what's described above.

Uninstalling CcsSync removes the program but deliberately keeps this data folder - it does not delete it. That's on purpose: once United stops publishing a flown trip, CcsSync cannot get it back, so your flight history is treated as something too valuable to risk losing to an uninstall. A separate copy of your flight history is also kept at Documents\CcsSync\Flight history.ics in your Documents folder, for the same reason, and that copy is likewise untouched by uninstalling or by deleting the AppData folder above. If you want everything gone, both locations need to be deleted by hand.

Third-party services CcsSync relies on

United Airlines' CCS+ system, for your schedule
Microsoft Graph API, if you sync to Outlook (personal or Microsoft 365 work/school accounts both work)
Google Calendar API, if you sync to Google Calendar
Lemon Squeezy, for license and subscription management

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data once CcsSync has sent it to them.

Children

CcsSync is a scheduling tool for airline crew members and is not directed at, marketed to, or knowingly used by children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
